Hiroshi's goal is to be the World's Greates Pokémon Master...and he's one tough trainer to beat. Hiroshi was first seen during the Pokémon League round episode Raibaru Toujou, where Satoshi and he foiled Team Rocket's plan of swiping league participants' Pokémon.

Hiroshi and Satoshi's friendship quickly turned to rivalry as they were opponents in Sekiei Sutajiamu! Satoshi vs Hiroshi! Hiroshi wins the match, but is defeated in the last round, Pokémon Riigu! Saigo no Tatakai!

It seems Hiroshi parts ways with Satoshi and his friends for good, but he is later seen in Toraware no Rugia, where Satoshi and he save Silver and Rugia from Team Rocket.

Unlike many trainers, Hiroshi gives names to some of his Pokémon. His Pokémon are (Pikachuu), Sparky, (Hitokage, later evolves into Lizaado) Zippo, and (Batafurii) Happy.

Hiroshi also uses strategy and skill while battling. Like Satoshi, Hiroshi has an understanding nature, and treats his Pokémon with the respect and honor that they deserve.
